How to Integrate Gmail with Thunderbird?

• You will see that the Thunderbird will automatically try to configure your settings for your mail account.

• Enter the settings by yourself.  

• Click on the Outgoing Server (SMTP) given on the left pane and select the smtp.gmail.com (Default) from the list and click ‘Edit’ button. 

• Lastly, on the left pane, click on the first option, i.e. name of email. On the right side you have to fill your email address in the ‘Account name’ field.
